Thank you for visiting my campaign website.
Together with a more in depth knowledge of the issues that are weakening our State and Country, it is my strong desire we take action now in order to remove incumbent Coble from office, redirect our the public’s attention to the major issues and get government back on track. Record has shown that the change we need is not happening under Mr. Coble`s watch. Radical reform is needed!!! I’m sure this can be done, specifically beginning with the elimination of the lobbyist system that is weakening the United States of America. Without dependence on lobbyists, representatives would do what is right for America as a whole, not just a small group with deep pockets because the lobbyist dollar safety net would no longer be available to cover bad governance. While the majority of my views align with the Democratic Party, my stance on issues will be without regard to Party, lobbyists, or my own re-election. Together we can do this.
Today, it’s hard to tell the difference between the incumbent Republican and “Corporate” Democrat politicians when it comes to major issues such as Wall Street and the World Trade Organization. I will stand up for the American worker and the ideals of economic fairness, social equality, and national unity that were once the legacy of the Democratic Party. I won’t compromise those ideals for the sake of bipartisanship, triangulation or political calculation.
While the politicians in Washington appear to be amazingly ignorant of the problems facing our country, I have come to believe that some politicians put their own interests before the American public. Politicians instead of statesman are now residing in our government. Politicians are individuals who TAKE from society, while statesmen GIVE to society. Politicians are too busy preparing themselves for the next election and do not care to understand the ramifications of their votes. They don’t see what we see. Mr. Coble proclaims himself to be a defender of jobs in our state, but we see the multitude of empty textile mills and factories closed due to free trade agreements he supported. We live near the homes emptied by the bursting of an unregulated Wall Street bubble. We feel the cost of healthcare. We know something is wrong in America and it starts with entrenched incumbents.
We not only have a budget deficit and trade deficit in America, we have a leadership deficit. We need leaders in Washington; we need Solutions, not Stimulus!!!! Together we can make a change.
With my best regards and deepest appreciation,
